Silence Falling

Standing outside the Blue Plate Restaurant in Chatham, NY shooting friends Brain and Marcy on their wedding day is probably one of the most memorable wedding images I've captured this year. The season's first snow had left the town deserted and under a blanket of silence only possible with falling snow. The pink skies and gentle static of snowflakes piling in on top on one another always reminds me of sledding at Troy's Frear Park as a child.

The image below is that storm's aftermath. Tonight, I sit here listening to NOAA and it seems as though the freight train of winter storms has begun for New England.

The Night Mission

I love Sunday nights for landscape photography. All the parking lots are empty and traffic is usually light. I shot this image from a small gate balcony on the Green Island Bridge. Winds were minimal and the moon was just right. I never realized how much vibration is transmitted through the bridge deck last night. It really put the vibration reduction lens to the test.

Nauset Fog

I love the creepy, socked in mornings along the Cape Cod coast. The fog makes the cement colored water look all the more foreboding. The line ups are virtually empty. If you want some water time, you have to have the dedication and a hearty appetite for ice cream headaches.
