Monday Morning

At the "office" on a Monday morning. Lately, what I've come to realize about my work is that I take solitude and store it on SD cards. I cherish the early mornings and late evenings. Very few people get to see that part of the day. At the end of the year, all these golden hours can't amount to more than a few hours, but they are the most memorable hours of my year.

I had the chance to hang out with filmmaker Nate Simms this afternoon and shoot some photos for the release of his upcoming film, Brunswick. Sounds like a great project about the changing landscape of Rensselaer County. Public screening on December 7th in Albany at the Spectrum.

Shooting the Sunset : 11.02.2011

 

[Above] Shot this self portrait tonight at the north end of Long Pond in Grafton Lakes State Park. This afternoon was warm, the sky clear, and the lake was deserted. I drove my car down to the shore to watch the sunset with John Butler on the CD player. Snow from last week's storm still lined the edges of the water. The color of the season is quickly fading and I am glad to get another change to shoot foliage.
