The Edges of Cornfields

[Above] Car, Greenwich, New York

Old cars at the edges of cornfields. The once loved. Now on blocks. Becoming part of the landscape. How many babies home from the hospital? How many drive-in's? How many miles driven out of boredom? After all these years of snowstorms and summer sun, the lines still have charm. Much more charming than a Chevy AstroVan half-lifing into the soil. Monuments to other things. Other times. Some better, some worse. You never imagine the things of your present life as the junk of the future.
