Fountain

I spent an afternoon in Savannah, Georgia in February. I wanted to be like the thousands before me and snap a photo of the city's iconic fountains. Never got the chance.

This fountain in a small park across from the courthouse and city hall in Albany, New York. I've walked by it a million times and never gave it a second thought. But, as with most things in life, you start to see things differently when you adjust your focus. One of the things I enjoy most about photography is making the familiar look new and exciting. This image is a prime example and I am glad it could be of my hometown.
