@johnbulmer: looking at sea temps, shear, and the hurricane forecast. looks like a productive summer for storm surf photography.

In the mid-80's here in New York and New England. I spent the day in Great Barrington, Massachusetts where I once saw the most original pro-war protest sign ever devised: "Make Bombs, Not Tofu." Not sure if the guy was serious, but he sure was memorable. I think of him every time I drive over the bridge and turn right onto Main Street.

@johnbulmer: Hope to get back up to the #Adirondacks this week with camera in tow. Thinking about Lower Wolf Jaw.

@johnbulmer: Sad to see #ThacherPark & #SchodackIsland will be officially closing on Monday. NY is #2 ranked on total tax and we can't afford parks?

@johnbulmer: Reviewing course maps and locations for The Tour of Battenkill 2010. Going to be a blast.
I like to capture images of the city in the off hours when the streets are deserted. New Year's day was warm for upstate New York at 50º. The warm temperatures provided an opportunity to shoot without numb fingers. In New England, warm days in January are a gift. The city of Troy, NY was deserted when I snapped this photo [below] of a downtown alleyway's wet pavement and streetlights.
