I had to chance to get more stream exploring in today. This is an abandoned mill and spillway. There are hundreds of them scattered throughout New England and beyond. They are ecosystem killers. Biologists find that the wildlife habitat provided by lands along the banks of streams and rivers are among the most essential on the planet.
